The best time of year to raise butterflies will vary depending on your location!
- Depending on where you are located spring and summer are typically the best seasons, when daytime temperatures are between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Customers who reside in hotter climates like California, Arizona, Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida may be able to raise butterflies year round if temperatures are within that window.
Remember, the project takes around three weeks, so please anticipate what the temperatures will be like at the end of your project when it's time to release your butterfly friends. If temperatures are above 90 degrees it is too hot to let them go.
